Madaar-e-Shoq

مدارِ شوق میں آ، شام اور سحر سے نکل

خیال و وہم کی دنیا کے مستقر سے نکل

ترا سفینہ زمانے کی موجِ مضطر میں

تو سیل بن کے زمانے کی اس لہر سے نکل

تو شعلہ بن کے جلا ڈال رنگ و بو کے حجاب

تو برق بن کے سحابِ گمانِ ضر سے نکل

تو آہ بن کے فلک چیر قدسیوں کے ساتھ

تو درد بن کے خنک خاک کے اثر سے نکل

،کہاں پہ عقل پرستوں میں آگیا حافظ

قلندری تیرا شیوہ ہے تو ادھر سے نکل

English Translation:

Surpass time and come into the circle of true love,
Leave your thought and come into true consciousness;

Your ship is sailing in the strong torrents of time,
Become a wave and surpass this current of time;

Become a fire and burn the screens of color and smell;
Like a lightning, come out of the clouds of bad thinking,

Become a supplication and enter the heavens with the angels,
Become the pain of a broken heart and leave this earthly existence.

O Hafiz! Why have you come to these reason worshipers,
Your co is a qalandar, come out of here.
